Cell proliferation can vary due to many factors, and the only way you should know the same status bar signal bars, which can be misleading.
If you want to have more information about signal strength On an Android phone, you can see direct dBM data and asu data from the settings. We'll see how we do it and what this data means.
How to detect signal strength
Recognizing the power of a signal is as easy as looking up the phone to see the "boundaries" of a signal, even though this has a basic problem: it's not reliable. There are no standards for what each bar should representSo that manufacturers and operators can change what "three bars" means from one cell to another, or from one operator to another.
The best way to get signal strength check dBm values (decibel-milliwatt) or ASU (Power Unit Unit), both available – or at least decibels – from phone mode, to Android settings.
The menu area may be slightly different for different layers of customization, so if you can't find it, it's best to use the search engine in settings. Result of signal strength will be indicated by two numbers: negative number at dBm and positive number at as.
What is dBm
The dBm count is equal to the decibel-milliwatt rate. It is a measure of the logarithmic power in relation to milliwatt, which is used in communications to measure signal strength mobile access from the cellular network.
This figure it's always bad, being larger — and consequently — better near zero. For 3G and 4G / LTE networks, the mean of these values varies quite a bit, though it is estimated between the best range and dBm around 80 to the aperture around -110 dBm.

The translation of statistics is not set in stone, but will help you get an idea how to interpret dBm data displayed by your mobile phone. For example, in the screenshot above we saw 104 dBm in 4G, which can be considered "good" quality, however. The cellphone is marked as four lines.
What is your
Generally, a cell phone will also show an asu number, which represents Power Unit Unit. This is a unit measures the same, signal strength, though it does it differently. In this case it is equal to the signal strength measured by the telephone.
The value of the asu can be calculated from dBm, or the formula changes when on a GSM, UMTS or LTE network. At the same rate, it will generally be easier for you to use dBm as a measurement, its use is very similar. In this case the value is positive and the higher the signal.
It's better – and easier – with apps
Look for dBm or asu data and remember good or poor distances, even though it requires good memory. On the other hand, we have seen that the bars shown by Android on top are not very reliable. The easiest way to have a much better world install the maths application and show you the result in a simple way.
There are many apps on Google Play that do this, such as Signal Power or NetWork Signal Information, to name a few. In particular, these applications monitor dBm and / or asu rates as well they show you the result on the graph so that you can see the magnitude of the signal without eating the coconut.
