Did you forget it? Add your workouts manually from your iPhone.
Your Apple Watch is the perfect ally for recording your workouts. The device, with its integrated sensors, gives you a wide variety of data such as calories burned, the number of steps taken during your runs, the average heart rate and, of course, data on the time you have spent on your exercise. It is not for nothing that it is the most complete smartwatch for iPhone.
But that doesn’t mean he’ll always be with you. Many people have forgotten to record their workouts or just the battery of the device dies, but that shouldn’t be a problem as it’s possible to manually add a workout to the Apple Watch.
How to manually add a workout to Apple Watch
For this you need the Health app on your iPhone. The first thing to do is to click on the “Explore” section, at the bottom right of your screen. There you’ll see several options to customize (each one worth checking out, as they’re all great for keeping you healthy).
In the previous menu, the one we need is the ‘Activity’, the one marked by a flame of fire. There will be all the information about your activity and the energy spent up to that moment. Scroll down to the section that says ‘Training’.
In “Workouts” you can see more information about your workouts, such as the daily, annual average, etc. To add something you forgot, select “Add Data”, located at the top of the screen. Now configure it as follows:
- Activity Type: Select one of dozens of activities to choose from, such as running, soccer, baseball, boxing, and more.
- Calories: Enter the calories you burned during your activity. You can copy some data from your Apple Watch, for example: if you did a 5k run on Monday and burned 350 calories, and today you also want to add a 5k run, then the calorie burn is similar. You can also help yourself with a calorie calculator.
- Day & Time: Select the day and time for your workout.
Do! ETraining will be added and all your data will be updated at that time. Don’t forget that if you have an Apple Fitness+ plan, you can also add the workout in case you forgot your Apple Watch.
