Writing a script on a device, especially a long text, means we need it delete, edit, edit and make changes so that the final product is exactly what we want. We all know the name-removal key, but what about removing the front?
Clear the front, more than just the details
Whether we want to delete the entire category or the last characters we have written, we will use the same key, the delete button, located on the right side of the keyboard. Pressing the key we delete the text every time, that is, to the left from the cursor position.
It is very helpful that, when we need it, we know how to remove, that is, remove the right cursor position. This is something we can do on Mac and iPad, as long as we're finally using a machine-made keyboard.
How to remove the front of our Mac
Removing the front of the Mac is very easy, we'll just use the following key combination:
fn + Delete
Remember that the key is fn is the bottom left corner of the keyboard. We can hold the key fn press and then press the delete button as many times as we want or press and hold both to clear immediately.
How to remove the front of our iPad
On the iPad, to clear the front we need to use a machine-made keyboard. When we use a computer keyboard, such as the Magic Keyboard of our iMac or similar to any other keyboard with a key fnsimply we will use the same key combination that we have just seen.
Most common, on the other hand, is that on the iPad we use a new magic keyboard for the iPad or Smart Keyboard Folio case. The keys for this cover return the key fn a global key to switch keyboard, we'll use another key combination:
Control (⌃) + D
We can, as in the past, press once or for all D several times while holding the key down Control pressed, or hold both wipes immediately. It should be mentioned that we can press the world football key and the delete key, just as we would on the Mac, but in this case as soon as we release the world football key. we will see a keyboard switch selector if we have more than one.
It would seem that the power to clear the front is no longer useful, that we can use the mouse to position itself exactly where we want and wipe the back. Of course, we can do it and it's all a matter of taste, but I found myself confirming that another time you are usually able to delete content in both directions and integrating it with the workflow, clicks seem slow and ineffective.
A little note on the iPhone: we can use the same key combination we just saw, however, as is the case with the iPad we need a virtual keyboard something very common.
Want more? And we can remove, front or back, while pressing the Select button (⌥) or the Command key (⌘) to clear all words or lines (respectively). A tactic that also works when we use arrows to move.
