MacOS comes with the task of compressing and reducing the installation itself. With it we can compress and reduce files in various formats, including universal ZIP. But what happens when we get the RAR file? That's it we need a third party system to open it, but which one?
Zip ?, RAR?
Before proceeding it is important to determine the slight difference between RAR and ZIP, since both forms of compression and both are visible complete the same task
Of course, they both allow us to compress files and folders. The difference is that ZIP is an open format which we can all use for free and compatible with all operating systems and traditional devices. Currently, RAR is a content format that does not have a lot of compatibility.
It is true that RAR can have benefits and that ZIP can have others. However, if at any time we have to compress a file, without any specific and specific requirements, doing it in ZIP format will ensure that we can send or share it safely can be opened comfortably
You don't know
In the Mac App Store we find a lot of push / drop apps, and choosing between so many variations can sometimes be a daunting task. From Applesfera what we want recommending an app called You don't know, which we can download for free from the App Store.
It is simple, regular, non-complicated and does its job, as well as it's free. The simplicity of the program is so great that, actually, you don't even need to open it to use it
At Apple sites it seems like the frequency we get RAR files have been shrinking gradually since the rise of the compressors. A lot has changed the environment since the time when machines did not have much storage and the internet connection to send files was slow.
However, it's good to know that, with this little task, whatever we want to rot, we'll do it right.
