How to Track and View Steps from Apple Watch
The Apple Watch automatically tracks your steps when you wear it, and that’s an interesting fact to keep in mind. This data does not appear in activity rings, but it is very interesting and you can see it by following these steps:
- open app Exercise in the Apple Watch.
- Swipe down or rotate the Digital Crown.
- After the three graphs of your rings, you will see the Section Total Steps with your daily steps.
- Just below you can also see the distance traveled and floors climbed.
- If you click below Weekly summaryyou will see all actions you have taken in the last 7 days.
Add step count to your Apple Watch face
If you are very interested in this parameter, you can add a step counter to your apple watch face you gave that day, so you can always see them just by looking at the time. Apple does not natively offer a complication to view the given steps, but you can do so by following these steps:
- Download the Duffy – Steps Complication app for free.
- Launch the app on the iPhone and allow it to access your health data, the app will not collect any data.

How to Track and View Steps from iPhone
Similarly, if you have an Apple Watch, the iPhone is also able to show you the steps you have completedwithout the need to download an app. If you don’t have an Apple Watch, you’ll need to top up one of the many step-measuring apps, like the Duffy one we showed you earlier.
To view the steps from the iPhone, follow these steps:
- open the fitness app on iPhone.
- Select tab abstract.
- Below the activity rings you will see the steps and distance traveled.
It’s as simple as checking the steps you’ve taken each day, and if from the iPhone Fitness app activate Trends, you will be able to closely monitor this and other parameters of your health. This is certainly very interesting data.
