For this vacation Google maps recently published a very useful novelty for organizing our trips and purchases. The popular map app now allows us see the busiest neighborhoods in a city, a feature that will allow us avoid crowds or not.
With Google Maps for Android you can see the liveliest districts in real time and their peak hours, in addition to the activity of their companies, you will be able to discover the most popular areas from each city for walking, shopping or dining.

See the animated areas
To see them busy areas of a city, just enlarge the map and look for the orange colored areas. When enlarging the map in this area, the icon will appear “Occupied zone”. Tap this indicator to open the neighborhood tab displaying its most popular sites, a directory to search for sites, photos and, most importantly, its rush hour graph.
In its graphics we will see how much the area is currently occupied, allowing see peak times for each day of the week. We can select any day of the week and click on its bars to see what time it is less or more crowded.
Occupied zones change throughout the day and week, as only occupied zones are displayed in real time. For example, in the morning, one neighborhood may be the busiest and in the evening another neighborhood.
Peak hours at the sites
For years Google maps It also lets you see how busy the sites are, and as a novelty now, from the map preview you can see if a site is more frequented than usual. Now in the marker of each site will appear a pink circle as an indicator that it is fuller than usual.
By entering the file of a site we will be able to see the influx in real time (the pink bar) and the peak hours of each day of the week, which will allow us choose the best time to shop or dine without queuing or waiting.
