WhatsApp is the most popular messaging app in Europe today. It is very common that in our conversations in the app, we send photos or videos to other people. What is important when we send a photo is that it does not lose quality, which can be fixed with a simple trick, even in the case of a video we want it not to lose any quality.
Also when we will send a video in whatsapp, we can do it without compressing, so that the other person receives the original video, with its original weight and quality. The way to do it is really simple so you won’t have any problem doing it.

Send videos to WhatsApp without compressing them
As with photos, there are times when we want the other person to receive uncompressed video, because you need to modify it or because you will be able to appreciate it in the best possible way. WhatsApp allows us to send a video without having to compress it, although for this we have to send it in a somewhat different way than we are used to. The steps we need to follow are:
- Open WhatsApp on your phone.
- Go to the chat where you want to send this video.
- Click the clip icon to add a file.
- Select Document.
- Look for the video in the gallery.
- Submit this video.
The video will then be sent uncompressed, without its weight being reduced. This allows it to be sent additionally without losing quality, which is exactly what we were also looking for. The person who receives it can, for example, modify it or view it without having a poorer quality.
The person who received the video should use a third-party application to open it then. As we have chosen to send it as a document, WhatsApp does not recognize it as a media file. We will then be asked to open an application on the phone that supports it, being possible to choose applications such as Google Photos or any other person who will allow us to play the video.
