Google Chrome introduced today the new tabbed view in Europe. A new tabbed view in grid form, which will allow you to have four tabs open and get easier control in theory. Although these types of new functions are not always appreciated by all users of the popular browser on Android.
The good news is that if these new tabs appear in Google Chrome for android you don’t like it, there is a way to turn it off completely. For now, this is an experimental feature in the browser, so we’ll have to use the Experimental Features menu to be able to turn it off.

Disable the new view of the Google Chrome tab
The new tabbed view in the form of a grid can be comfortable for many users in the browser on Android. There are some users for whom it makes multitasking easier, but for others it is a confusing design, which will make them less useful. If this is your case, you have the ability to disable this feature in the browser, by following these steps:
- Open Google Chrome on your phone.
- Go to the URL bar.
- Go to chrome: // flags in said address bar.
- In the search engine that appears, search for “Tab grid layout”.
- Click on the option that comes out.
- Set this option to “off” to disable it.
- Restart your browser.
Once you restart the browser on your phone, this new tab view will have already disappeared. Google Chrome will once again display the tab view we have been used to so far, which is the one many users prefer and feel comfortable with.
Right now the only way to turn it off is in the experimental functions of the browser, the flags. In the future, this method may be changed to disable the new grid tab, but for now you will need to use the flags menu to enable or disable this feature in the browser on Android. This function is available in the new version of Google Chrome, available in the Play Store:
