There artificial intelligence It is already present on most mobile devices, either natively through the operating system’s own tools or through third-party applications (for example, to create images using generative AI). Now, Xiaomi brings two features that give good results to HyperOS.
These are the following functions: AI Expansion 2.0 and AI Erase 2.0, tools that allow edit images using artificial intelligence directly from the gallery app, and they have already started reaching Xiaomi phones via an update.
This is how the new AI tools that come with HyperOS work
Both tools are available in the app HyperOS Gallery
The first tool, AI Expansion 2.0, allows enlarge or zoom in on an image after generating a fill for the rest of the image using artificial intelligence. This can be very useful, for example, in cases where we take a photo in which the people or subjects look great, but the framing of the image and the background could be better. By enlarging the image, we can improve the position of the subjects and the AI will fill in the rest of the image.
The second tool, AI Eraser 2.0, allows remove objects from images
This feature is technically not completely new for many Xiaomi phones running HyperOS, but is the evolution of Magic Gallery Eraser. You can now generate much more realistic results and more accurately detect objects or subjects that we want to eliminate from a photo. In general, the results are surprising even when we want to remove large parts of the image, as in the image below:
In addition to these tools, the Gallery app update also includes minor bug fixes and issues in the gallery for better performance. Finally, this version of the app also add new filters to use when editing photos.
These functions and new features are available in the latest version of the HyperOS Gallery and HyperOS Gallery Editor applications, so you will soon be able to update these applications on your Xiaomi mobile and start enjoying these tools based on artificial intelligence.
