At the start of 2024, like every year, Samsung announced its new family of high-end mobile phones, the Galaxy S24. These are three terminals that have come to update their catalog, focusing above all on artificial intelligence, which in this case was available in Europe. 2023 was the year of this technology due to the number of launches that included it, both hardware and software.
All three models had Galaxy AI and Samsung’s marketing has focused on promoting this feature, which we were even able to test in the Black Forest in Germany during a trip designed to optimize this feature. However, this does not mean that all three devices were identical in the rest of their features.
As is usually the case, the Galaxy S24 and S24+ had a differentiated, more rounded design, while The S24 Ultra still draws inspiration from the Galaxy Notewith harder and rectilinear shapes. Added to this were differences with memories, certain connectivity technologies, etc.
But the feature that caught my attention the most after spending eight months using the S24 Ultra as my primary mobile phone is the one that isn’t visible. Literally. This is the coating that this model has on the screen and which prevents most reflections
The treatment that Samsung has given to the screen makes reflections much less even when there are bright spots behind us and they are trying to show on the screen. This also makes outdoor use much more comfortable, even preventing videos from being seen well when we are surrounded by windows or projectors.
This feature is not widely advertised by Samsung but that’s one of the biggest day-to-day differences between using the S24 Ultra and literally any other mobile phone, regardless of model, price or category. We do not know if during the presentation of the S25 series all three models will have this technology or if it will be, again, something reserved for the Ultra model, but we hope that next year the whole family l ‘will use. That This would undoubtedly be a big differentiator compared to high-end mobile phones from other companies.
