Throughout my life there have been many situations in which I have needed watch TNT on my mobile or tablet: when I was a student when we only had a crappy TV in the living room, at my parents’ house where there was only one TV and there were always people, when I was away from home (for example camping) or even when I lived in Madrid and I wanted to watch ETB. But big problems call for big remedies: I’ve used Tivify, Pluto TV, TiviMate, IPTV lists like IPTV.org (in my opinion, the best)… but in the end I always come back to TDTChannels.
Yes, some of the previous ones are still installed on my Smart TV and other devices, but I want a good app for Watching TV on my mobile, I am sure that TDTChannels is not going to let me down. It’s not the best in everything, but overall it stands out from the others in a few words: by the number of channels, the quality of the service and how it works.
What TDTChannels should be my favorite?
First of all, simplicity from the beginning: you don’t need to go anywhere to find the app or give special permissions, no. You go to Google Play Store and download the app for free. In fact, by not doing, no registration or account required.
There are other platforms like Tivify for example which cover general Mediaset and Atresmedia channels but not with TDTChannels: You get it all for free, although yes, at the cost of adding a few extra ads. A small drawback that does not tarnish the overall experience. But if they bother you, you can always pay (not my case) by paying 1.19 dollars per month or 11.99 dollars/year.
Once you have installed the application, go to the “Playlists” section and load the TV ones (there are also the radio ones) and here the doors open to a long list of free channels. Specifically, 650 national, regional and local television channels and 939 radio stations. I have many, because normally what I want to see is either a general project or a regional project from Navarre or the Basque Autonomous Community. For example, watching an Athletic match when I’m away.
Having TDTChannels on your mobile is like having a pocket TV because the dynamic is the same: you choose the channel and it plays live, occupying the entire screen without doing anything. Of course, not directly as if it were integrated, since the application is actually a media player for DTT channels that broadcast in the clear. There is no on-demand content, although you can pause playback and delay it for a few minutes. In addition, as the programming arrives, you discover when what interests you is broadcast.
I have TDTChannels installed on my mobile phone, tablet and even on my Smart TV, but in reality it would not be necessary since Mobile devices can stream content with ChromecastI wonder if, like me, you have Android TV or Google TV.
What I really like is that the one behind the project is responsible for keeping everything up to date and operational so that in case of failure when linking a reproduction, it is corrected as soon as possible. Others boast of having thousands of channels, but there are reruns and many are not reproduced: this is not the case with TDTChannels. This application is a guarantee: your Playback is generally stable, with more than acceptable picture and sound quality..
Finally it is the question of legality: I just want to watch TV, especially DTT channels, but know that I always have it at hand and ready to use, without having to dodge anything or use tricks. This application is completely legal since it reproduces public and open links that the channels use for their broadcasting on the Internet.
