On the Internet we can find a multitude of tools to share files. When it comes to sending files from your mobile, Android has a feature known as Quick Share that works very well. Despite this, this option only works between Android, Chromebooks and Windows devices (in the latter case it is necessary to install the Quick Share application for Windows on our computer).
I recently discovered a tool that allows you to transfer files between devices very easily and without the need to install an application
Snapdrop commits to operating in true Apple AirDrop style
This is Snapdrop, a tool with which you can transfer files between devices in seconds without the need to install anything or register. To explain how the tool works, let’s imagine that we want to share a photo from our mobile phone to our computer.
The first thing you need to do is access the tool’s website from your mobile and your computer (both devices must be connected to the same network). Once we’ve done it we should see the computer to which we want to send the file in the tool interface.
The next step is to click on the device to which we want to send the image and select the corresponding file. Almost immediately We will see the selected photo appear on our computer. Just click on the option To safeguard to save the image to your computer (it is possible to configure the tool so that you do not even have to accept the download).
Of course we can also use Snapdrop to share files from computer to mobile. If you want to send a file to more than one device, we will see the different devices appear in the tool interface: Snapdrop assigns random names to devices to make them easier to identify.
At this point we cannot deny that this is a very interesting tool. Although sharing files between Android devices is easy thanks to Quick Share, when you want to do the same thing between iOS and Android or Android and macOS, things get complicated. This is where Snapdrop’s potential comes into play.an option to consider.
