This is not the first time that we know or have knowledge of this rumor. When the AirPods Pro came out, one of the biggest buzz was the fact that it might come with some sort of health sensor. However, that was not the case and today it seems that it continues to be a utopia. However, now a new indication appears that makes us think that in a few years the new models of AirPods could integrate sensors that provide us with information. on our hearing health.
The data they offer us in these new rumors are not many. In fact, they are quite tiny, but only because of the source that emits them, it must be known. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says it’s more than likely Apple will update AirPods to become a health tool within a year or two with the possibility of obtaining auditory data in one way or another. We don’t know how, but we have a feeling it will.
Granted, the American company has already added several hearing-focused features to the AirPods. For example, we have the feature Live listening and conversation boostAlthough it is true that they are not yet approved by the FDA. But what Apple wants is for AirPods to be able to replace hearing aids in the not too distant future. In fact, Gurman dares to say that it will be in a few years. It is therefore likely that in 2025 or early 2026 new AirPods could be launched on the market to help people with hearing loss.
We’ll be there waiting in case another analyst joins in on this rumour. Which is not surprising because it is something very plausible.
