Apple has secretly improved the iOS 16 Weather app which is now able to offer much more information.
Although Apple hasn’t put too much emphasis on the Weather app, beyond its expected arrival in iPadOS 16, the truth is that in iOS 16 this app has greatly improved offering much more information. Now, by tapping on each forecast, we can see detailed information about temperature, rain, humidity, wind and the rest of the parameters that appear in the app.
Undoubtedly, this is an improvement introduced thanks to Apple’s purchase of the Dark Sky app several months ago. Forks a very interesting improvement this so you don’t need another weather app on your iPhone or iPad.
What does the iOS 16 weather app offer?
The The general display of the iOS 16 Weather app hasn’t changed much. In the upper area we have the current conditions, secondly the forecast temperature and climatic conditions for the next 24 hours and in the third position we have the 10-day version, with the maximum and minimum temperatures.
But now if we click on one of these days we can see more detailed information in a graph of the temperature it will be throughout the day, as well as a daily summary of what is expected. We can move around the calendar to change the day and see the different forecasts.
We can even change what we want to see, have options of temperature, UV index, wind, precipitation, wind chill, humidity, visibility and atmospheric pressure.
In the general view of the application we also have, in the lower area, data on all these weather parameters, just like in iOS 15. But by clicking on each of them we can access your card directlythat can change the day in the upper area or by sliding to the right.
Of course, the app has taken a leap in information, which is much appreciated in a weather app, and also he did this without altering the simple design in the least. This way, only those who want that extra information will have access to it, keeping the app simple in design for users who don’t want too much information.
The application now offers us some rather curious data. For example, we can see wind directions which are scheduled for the next hours and days, we can see when will it rise and when will we see the first light of day, the same as knowing the time of sunset and last light, by calculating the total number of hours of light. We can even see the average sunrise and sunset times for each month of the year.
Son very curious data that is proposed in a very clear and simple way. Of course, this iOS 16 weather app has made third-party alternatives unnecessary. It introduces many secret improvements, like so many we found in iOS 16.
