Apple just made it public new updates for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, Mac and HomePod. iOS 17.2 and the rest of the updates now available with all these new features.

New the update for iPhone and iPad arrives with many new featureswhich we already told you about a few weeks ago when the preliminary beta versions were made public, but here you have Apple’s release note with all the changes:

This update introduces Journal, a whole new way to reflect on life’s moments and preserve your memories. This version also includes improvements to the action button and camera, as well as other features, bug fixes, and security updates for your iPhone.

Diary

• Journal is a new app that lets you write about the little moments and big events in your life to practice gratitude and improve your well-being
• Journal suggestions make it easier to remember your experiences by cleverly grouping your rides, photos, workouts, and more into moments you can add to your journal.
• Filters allow you to quickly find bookmarked entries or view entries with attachments so you can revisit and reflect on key moments in your life.
• Scheduled notifications help you maintain a consistent journaling practice by reminding you to write on the days and times you choose
• Option to lock your calendar using Touch ID or Face ID
• iCloud sync keeps your journal entries secure and encrypted in iCloud

action button

• Translation option for the Action button on iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max to quickly translate sentences or have a conversation with someone in another language

Camera

• Spatial Video lets you capture video on iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max so you can relive your memories in three dimensions on Apple Vision Pro
• Improved telephoto focusing speed when capturing small, distant objects on iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max

messages

• The catch-up arrow allows you to easily jump to your first unread message in a conversation by tapping the arrow visible in the upper right corner.
• The Add Sticker option in the context menu allows you to add a sticker directly to a bubble
• Memoji updates include the ability to adjust the body shape of any Memoji
• Contact Key Verification provides automatic alerts and contact verification codes to help verify that people facing extraordinary digital threats are sending messages only to people they intend to

Time

• Precipitation amounts help you stay aware of rain and snow conditions on any given day over the next 10 days.
• New widgets let you choose between next hour’s precipitation, daily forecast, sunrise and sunset times, and current conditions like air quality, wind feel, and wind speed .
• The Wind Map Snapshot helps you quickly assess wind patterns and access the animated wind map overlay to prepare for expected wind conditions over the next 24 hours.
• The interactive lunar calendar allows you to easily view the phase of the moon on any day of the following month

This update also includes the following improvements and bug fixes:

• Support for Siri to privately access and save Health app data using your voice
• AirDrop improvements, including expanded contact sharing options and the ability to share boarding passes, movie tickets, and other eligible passes by joining two iPhones together
• The Favorite Songs playlist in Apple Music lets you quickly return to songs you mark as favorites.
• Use of listening history in Apple Music can be turned off in Focus mode so that the music you’re listening to doesn’t appear in Recently Played or influence its recommendations.
• A new digital clock widget lets you quickly check the time on your home screen and when you’re asleep
• Enhanced autofill identifies fields on PDFs and other forms, allowing you to populate them with information like your contact names and addresses.
• New keyboard layouts support 8 Sami languages
• The sensitive content warning for stickers in Messages prevents you from unexpectedly receiving a sticker containing nudity.
• Qi2 charging support for all iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 models
• Addresses an issue that may prevent wireless charging in some vehicles

• The use of listening history in Apple Music can be disabled in a way so that the music you listen to does not appear in Recently Played or influence its recommendations.
• Shazam Music Recognition lets you quickly identify songs playing online or around you, even when you’re wearing AirPods
• New keyboard layouts support 7 additional Sami languages

Also There are updates for HomePod and Apple TV although in this case the changes for users are negligible. Updates can be downloaded from the preferences of your respective devices, but you must remember that if you have already installed the latest beta version, they will not appear because they are actually the same version.
