In a few weeks we will have with us the first beta for iOS and iPadOS 17 developers, a few hours after the presentation during the keynote of WWDC23. However, users who do not subscribe to the program will have to wait for the public beta which will be launched around July. These new operating systems seemed to include no good news, but in the last few hours it seems that is changing. iOS 17 most likely include new home screen widgets, but with one particularity: these widgets will be interactive.

For many, the widgets we currently have with us will be a very common part of our devices. However, this has not always been the case. Apple introduced widgets in iOS 14 but with very defined action lines and no interactivity. The reason? Device optimization and battery saving most likely. Apple then introduced lock screen widgets in iOS 16.

The leakers claim that these tests take place in the barracks of Cupertino. However, there is nothing confirmed “no way”. But little remains to be confirmed within Apple since in just two months the first sight of iOS 17 will be presented and it is very interesting that the interactive widgets are a good icing on the cake.
