A few hours ago we were talking about the important new features that Apple had introduced with iOS 18 on AirPods. These were three relatively important features: Siri interactions, spatial audio in games, and greater voice isolation on AirPods Pro. However, so does iOS 18. brings an important new feature around the Adaptive Audio functions of AirPods Pro 2. A new control that allows this function to not be all or nothing, but rather the user can adjust the adaptive audio for more or less noise with a sliding bar. We will tell you then.
AirPods Pro 2 and iOS 18: more precision in Adaptive Audio
AirPods Pro 2 (or 2nd generation) integrate a set of functions within the concept known as Adaptive audio. There are three options: adaptive noise control, custom volume, and conversation detection. Thanks to this, the user can modify what they hear and how they hear it depending on the different scenarios in which they find themselves. You can customize adaptive audio to allow more or less noise
In the settings menu a new option appears called Customize adaptive audio. When you enter, you see a sliding bar in three positions: more noise, less noise and default. In other words, with this bar we can decide How much noise do we want to allow into our headphones?
The relatively important thing about this new option is that allows the user greater control over their own environment and the sound they receive on their AirPods Pro 2. Remember that this option will be available as long as the AirPods are connected to a device with iOS 18, iPadOS 18 or macOS Sequoia, provided that the AirPods Pro 2 have the latest firmware version installed.
