At WWDC in 2019, Apple introduced new subscription services such as Apple Arcade or Apple TV +. Now, one of the biggest surprises for iPad users is the announcement of the arrival of their first special app tablet.
In this way, Apple has created the iPadOS, which is a great way to free the iPad from certain limitations it had to deal with because it was integrated into the same iPhone system. So, the new iPads are no longer running on iOS.
Of course, the iPadOS versions carry a number that would be compatible with iOS compliance. The first version is called iPadOS 13 (like iOS 13), so the next one should be called iPadOS 14. That's all we know now.
Edit: When will iPadOS 14 arrive?
It's hard to predict the release date of iPadOS 14 because we don't have a build story. Still, we think Apple will bet when it launches a new program every year, as it does with iOS and macOS.
In recent years, Apple has been announcing news of the upcoming iOS update to its WWDC every June, while not being available until next September with the arrival of new iPhones.
The company also took advantage of key text it was launched last year to announce the arrival of iPadOS 13, so it would make sense to decide to wait WWDC 2020 next June to introduce the new iPadOS 14.
It is even more difficult to guess when it will be available on our iPads, since this has followed a more unrelated trajectory in recent years. Some have gone on sale in October, some in March, some in June …
However, our bet is that iPadOS 14 will be announced in June 2020 and will be available for installation in September of this year.
Compatibility: Where will the iPadOS iPads 14 be located?

Benefits: What to Expect From iPadOS 14
There are not yet many rumors spread about the news that iPadOS will bring. However, there are some features we would like to see coming in the future. Here we compile a list of our wishes and rumors we've heard.
Alarms dropped
It is a very simple task, but one that can be very effective. It can be a great help to have the ability to set off alarms for some time, such as when you're on vacation. It should be easy to add this option.
Full mouse compatibility
IPads are compatible with mouse usage. Apple has added this option with the iPadOS 13, but it's hard to find and it's also not perfect. The cursor is very large and you should use the same gestures you can with your finger.
Connectivity with Bluetooth mice looks great, but wired mice don't work well with models other than iPads Pro. In order for the iPad to truly become a Mac destination, Apple has to develop that integration.
Apple Watch compatibility
At the moment we still don't understand why Apple isn't bringing the same compatibility of iPhone and Apple Watch to iPad. It can be very useful to be able to see the information collected by your smart clock on a larger screen such as an iPad or Mac.
We understand that this is a security issue, but we think Apple is more than trained to overcome this minor problem and create a good integration of the iPadOS Health app.
Split keyboard
The bigger the iPad screen, the harder it is to write on it. The solution that Apple proposed to this problem earlier was the split keyboard option, where half the keyboard was to the right of the other half to the left.
With the advent of iPadOS 13, this has disappeared and was replaced by a floating keyboard. However, we think this does not solve the problem. We wish Apple offered both options because they respond to different situations.
IPad to get started
The iPad Home screen has been redesigned with the iPadOS 13. We think now is the time for Apple to split the idea that all apps should be on the screen and bet on the launchpad type.
The pills Android already has a section of its app where you can keep all downloaded apps, without having them on the home screen. Startup macOS has a similar function.
