Every September, Apple organizes a new event which is mainly used to present the new generation of iPhone. With them, a new Apple Watch or even new iPads and new Macs usually arrive (although sometimes they arrive later).
Now that the company has already announced that in a few days there will be a new Apple event titled Far, it should serve to present the new iPhone 14 (as well as other novelties). Next, we explain everything you need to know.
When is the iPhone 14 launch event?
On August 24, Apple sent out invitations for its next event. We know it will be next Wednesday, September 7, 2022. It’s a bit earlier than other years. Last year, for example, it was Tuesday, September 14.
This appears to be a throwback to pre-pandemic face-to-face events, so launches will be announced in front of the audience at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park, Cupertino, CA.
What time does the iPhone 14 launch event start?
What has not changed is the start time of the event, as it will be from 10:00 a.m. (local time in California). This means you can watch it live from other countries at these times:
- 11:00 a.m. | Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua
- 12:00 | Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Peru
- 1:00 p.m. | Bolivia, Chile, Cuba, Paraguay, Dominican Republic, Venezuela
- 2:00 p.m. | Argentina, Uruguay
- 19:00 | Europe
How to follow the launch of the iPhone 14 live?
As always, the next Apple event can be followed on line of the House. One of the official ways is through the Apple Events website, which you can access from any device. You can also follow it from the Apple Events app.

What will Apple present at the September event?
The new iPhone 14 is expected to be the star of the event, but more news is likely to be on the way as well. On that day, Apple might also announce the release date for iOS 16 and watchOS 9, though iPadOS 16 might arrive alongside iOS.
That’s all that could happen at the Apple event in September.
iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro
It looks like this year we’ll get four new iPhones, but they won’t be the same as the last few years. It is believed that the iPhone mini will disappear and in its place there will be a new larger model. The Pro models would be the ones that would receive the most novelties.
- iPhone 14: 6.1″ screen with notch, slightly upgraded A15 chip.
- iPhone 14 Max: 6.7″ screen with notch, slightly upgraded A15 chip.
- iPhone 14 Pro: 6.1-inch screen with “hole + pill” design, always-on display, 48 MP sensor, 8K video, A16 processor.
- iPhone 14 Pro Max: 6.7″ screen with “hole + pill” design, always-on display, 48 MP sensor, 8K video, A16 processor.
Apple Watch Series 8, Apple Watch Series SE, Apple Watch Pro
This year, it looks like more than one Apple Watch is on the way. Rumors suggest there will be a total of three new watches: the Apple Watch Series 8, a new Apple Watch SE, and a new Apple Watch with rugged or pro features.
- Apple Watch Series 8: Same design, size (41mm and 45mm) and S7 chip as the Apple Watch Series 7, but a new function to monitor the user’s temperature and alert in case of fever or track fertility.
- Apple Watch SE 2: Same size (40mm and 44mm), optical heart rate sensor and an electrical heart rate sensor (ECG), always-on display, S7 chip.
- Apple Watch Pro: New larger 50mm size, titanium case, improved tracking metrics for extreme sports enthusiasts, better battery life.
AirPods Pro
Last September, the AirPods were updated with a third generation closer than ever to the AirPods Pro, presented almost three years ago. So it’s time for new AirPods Pro to arrive.
Everything indicates that they could do it this same month of September. Rumors also claim that they will have shorter stems, more powerful battery and support for Apple Lossless.
When will the products announced at Apple’s September event be available for purchase?
Logically, this information has not yet been confirmed by Apple, but we can speculate taking into account what happened in previous years:
- Thursday, September 8: Official release of iOS 16.
- Friday, September 9: Reservations for the iPhone 14 and the new Apple Watch are starting.
- Friday, September 16: Official launch of the iPhone 14 and the new Apple Watch.
But this year’s Apple releases surely don’t stop there. Most likely, next October, the company will hold another event that will serve to showcase new Macs and new iPads, as well as launch macOS Ventura.
