iPhone 15 Pro screen assembly issues reported

These will be the iPhone Pro's bezels

Yesterday we were talking about the growing idea that the iPhone 15 was going to be delayed until the fourth quarter of the year. That is to say not having the new range in September as Apple has accustomed us to year after year. It also did not disclose the reasons or any supply chain information explaining the delay. However, a few hours ago a report came out stating a problem in the assembly of iPhone 15 Pro screens with a new manufacturing process

which could further delay the marketing of this model.

Will this problem delay the launch of the iPhone 15 Pro?

The iPhone 15 will have four models, except surprise: the standard model, the Plus model, the Pro model and the Pro Max model. Each of them with a price and features that make them different from each other. The screens of all models are provided thanks to LG and apparently the iPhone 15 Pro screens are assembled with a new manufacturing process

very similar to what currently exists with the Apple Watch.

This process allows attach screen to iPhone frame and provide it with more stability and production facilities. Although this process is already done with other devices, it seems that LG’s screens complicate things and could delay production. However, there is no alarm yet since few expert reports point to a considerable delay, and those who assure that the impact will be insignificant, such as L’Information.

The production of the iPhone has been perfected over the years and the quality standards demanded by Apple today are very high. In fact, there are currently two companies providing panels: LG and Samsung Display. Apparently the Samsung panels are more stable and the problem would be in those of LG. We’ll see if this inconvenience ultimately affects Apple’s timing and, more importantly, how it affects the market.
