15 years has already walked the iPhone since its initial presentation. The device that changed everything began to revolutionize the interfaces of mobile devices, which was noted in the long explanation of said interface by Steve Jobs. But if we review the rest of the iPhone presentation events, we see that little by little it is another characteristic that takes center stage.
From one more detail to one of the big claims
I don’t think I’ve ever shared this
over the years, % of time in a new iphone presentation spent by apple talking about the camera pic.twitter.com/Ogt1mKRS3N

Evidenced by this tweet from Josh, a user who entertained how much time Apple spent describing its iPhone camera in the respective opening speech presentation and comparing the result with the total time spent presenting the device.
The trend is not uniform but it is noticeable: while in the first presentations, the camera was only mentioned in a few seconds (occupying at most 0.2% of the total presentation time of the iPhone), in the case of the latest generations the camera occupies 14, 19 or even 20 minutes of time. That’s more than a third of all time spent presenting this iPhone.
We’ve gone from just saying there’s a camera to take pictures to describing lenses, their modes like Portrait or Cinema, their capabilities in low-light environments… whereas before the appeal of the iPhone was the iPhone itself now it is the camera that is responsible for motivating consumers to buy it in large part. It has become one of his great demands.
The future paints that it will follow the same path: The iPhone 14 aims to have the largest cameras in the device’s entire history and Apple is working to create new periscope lenses that make better use of space. Moreover, the augmented reality interfaces that rOS can bring and a new viewer will only increase the technical requirements for these cameras.
