Apple may introduce a new Apple One subscription option this year that includes an iPhone.
Some time ago there was a rumor about a new service in the Apple catalog, a kind of subscription may include equipment in addition to software. Apple offers many services to which you can subscribe, iCloud, Apple Music, Apple Arcade or even one that brings them all together: Apple One. iPhone subscription that Apple plans to launch.
As reported by Mark Gurman in his newsletter weekly To light up, Apple could launch this new subscription later this year. It would be a completely different way to acquire an Apple device, because if we stop paying we will have to return the device.
The program would differ from an installment program in that the monthly fee would not be the price of the device divided into 12 or 24 months. It would rather be a monthly fee which remains to be determined and which depends on the device chosen by the user.
Apple One will launch a new plan that includes an iPhone
Moreover, it is planned that you can not only subscribe to the iPhone, also to o ther Apple devices
The company has talked about allowing users of the program to trade in their devices for new models when new hardware is released. It historically releases new versions of its major devices, including the iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, once a year.
Apparently Apple could expand the options of Apple One with a new option that includes, for example, an iPhone. But keep in mind that this is not an installment payment, you can s top paying the subscription at any time and return the iPhone to Apple. In this mode, the iPhone will never belong to you and you will not be tied to it for a while.
Currently, the Apple One Premium plan, which includes all services, is priced at 28.95 dollars per month. If an iPhone is included in the subscription, surely the plan goes up to 80-100 dollarsdepending on the model chosen of course.
The company is still working on a hardware subscription service that will be integrated into its Apple One plans. Apple is actively testing this new service, and I expect it to launch later this year or next year.
Without a doubt it is an interesting way to get an iPhone and that will have to be evaluated when Apple introduces it. Curious that the company has not taken advantage of the launch of its new iPhone 14 to also present this new modality, we understand that it is not ready yet.
