Due to problems Huawei had with the US government, which had temporarily blocked the company, Huawei launched its Huawei Mate 30 Pro, the leading mobile phone launched by a Chinese company to date, without Google services, it is a risky decision but the company has entered into the final results.
I've been testing the Huawei Mate 30 for a while, with Google services and without them, and today we'll talk about one of the most discussed topics for the last 2019 year, How to live without Google services? How is this possible? Well, let's see it.
The first steps, preparing the final plan and installing the plans
Usually, when we make the first configuration of any Android smartphone, our Google account is very present throughout the process, because it contains – if you wish – the saving of our applications, as well as our contacts and calendar among other things. However When the Huawei Mate 30 was launched, there was no trace. Although you can always transfer data from your old phone because of the initial configuration.
Instead, Huawei's account will be the one that collects the most information we want to protect with our Huawei ID, which will give us access to the company's cloud storage service, in the app store, a local phone service and a virtual wallet and health app
Once we have configured features such as Wi-Fi or signal touch – if we don't want buttons – we finally reach the launcher. For starters, by the way, was tormented – as it could not be otherwise – of Huawei's own requests that we will need to install other Google features, such as your app store, your video and music apps or your booth reader.
When installing day-to-day apps, such as Twitter or Instagram chat forums, and WhatsApp, we're dealing with the problem of not being in the Huawei store, as well as many of the applications I use on a daily basis. In fact I've never been able to find any apps I installed on my mobile phone.
When dealing with this problem, there is always a search solution in other stores or on the platform of the platform the application wants to download. The only thing that works is to download WhatsApp, for example, but sometimes we cannot execute it, even if we have an APK file, as some apps, such as YouTube, require Google Play services to work.
At present, life without Google services seems impossible, unless you buy an iPhone
This means that most applications cannot be installed on Huawei Mate 30 Pro, limiting the information provided by the terminal. And the situation there, inevitable, I had to bet to install Google Play apps on the device. Or before that, I tried to stay for a few days using the terminal, I couldn't, without G's services.
Trying to keep up with cell phones, is it possible?
Once I left the terminal to the best of my ability, I tried to use it for a few days, with some of the apps I use most – and which do not require Google services – installed through other stores, such as WhatsApp or Telegraph. Even in the case of WhatsApp, we have a problem not being able to restore a backup from Google Play
Aside from that, with the lack of Google Play services we can't enjoy the many benefits they provide us, such as the use of automated forms, registration of passwords – useful when logging into multiple applications -, and your applications such as Maps, Calendar, Gmail or YouTube, which are the best things we can find on Google Play.
In addition, apps like Netflix or Google Pay will not work properly even if we install Google Play services, since, without a SafetyNet certification, it cannot play Netflix content like a certified smartphone, You do not have permission to use Google Pay. Although you can use your bank application to make mobile payments.
Soooo uhh this is new.
Starting with today's development, the Mate 30 Pro now fails with SafetyNet. Last week passed.

In general terms, the lack of Google services has been quite tricky, because, even though it doesn't seem like it, we use them every day, and always, to access our account from the applications we've installed, or to work. And, today, Trying to live without Google services permanently, is an impossible goal. Unless, of course, you decide to buy an iPhone, something that, believe me, we couldn't blame.
The fact is that by the middle of 2020, living without Google seems unlikely – as I've seen over the last three years – and with the plurality of Android involved, we rely on an American company, and, whether we like it or not, We can reduce your weight in our terminal without any consequences, but we cannot eliminate your presence and use the Android device as if it didn't exist.
