The demand and interest in foldable phones continues to grow. There are already several manufacturers who have entered the pool in this sector, as is the case with Huawei with its triple folding. However, The one who has been banking on this technology the longest is Samsungsince it has been more than five years since its first Galaxy Z Fold hit the market.
The South Korean firm has refined its technology generation after generation, leading to its new Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. This foldable arrived with the tag of being the thinnest yet, although it also significantly improves its internal screen. The fact that it arrived shortly after the Z Fold6 seemed like it could hamper its sales, but nothing could be further from the truth: It kills him.
Sales prove that Samsung was right with its new Z Fold
As we said above, the Galaxy Z Fold SE is a direct evolution of the Galaxy Z Fold6. It has exactly the same processor (a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3), but it brings a significant improvement to its rear camera by giving it a 200 megapixel main sensor. In addition, where it stands out the most is in its thickness: when it is open, it measures only 4.9 millimeters. A pass.
The phone went on sale on October 25 in South Korea. There was some uncertainty about the public reaction to this new foldable, but the doubts didn’t take long to dissipate. The new Fold only took 10 minutes to completely run out of power, a very positive fact for Samsung.
The company, after a few days, replenished the stock of the new Fold. The attraction is so great that this time it only took 5 minutes to hang the “all sold out” sign. It doesn’t stop there: as Sammobile reports, Samsung renewed its stocks for a third time. The result was no different.
On this occasion, Phone died again after six minutes. We must take into account that it is a device that has a price of around 1,885 dollars, which demonstrates the enthusiasm that exists for this new foldable Samsung.
The only “but” we can say about this Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is that will not leave Asian territory (at least, for now). Everything indicates that Samsung will continue to rely heavily on folding technology until 2025, even launching a cheaper version of the Galaxy Z Flip on the market.
