However, In order to find a connected device, we have to perform a manual search between the application options, a process that can be slow and tedious if we have many devices connected.
Soon, this will be a thing of the past. At Android Authority, they discovered that the Google Home app will see a significant change: will add a search bar which will appear on the main screen of the devices and promises to be very useful. With a message saying “Search your devices here”, just press the bar to be able to search for exactly the bulb or plug we need. A fast and efficient process.

This way, the user experience will be much faster, especially for cautious users who usually give specific names to their connected devices, in order to find them more easily. This way, just by typing “kitchen lamp”, the search will take us directly to this smart bulb.
Additionally, the Google Home app will change your color palette based on your wallpaper that we use on our mobile, in the same way as other Google applications and the same original Android interface, thanks to Material You.
These changes are not yet available to users, but should arrive soon via an update to the Google Home app.
