The well-known Evan Blass filter gives us the first data on Qualcomm’s next high-end processor. One of the good news about this processor is that it will be made in 4nm, the first of the brand produced in this process. It is a more efficient platform in terms of power consumption compared to the current 5nm.
In addition, it will use the new type of cores Kyron 780, which are based on the recently introduced ARM Cortex V9 architecture. For graphics, this new Snapdragon will use an Adreno 780 GPU. This graphics engine should introduce many changes.
Qualcomm would also integrate a new modem in this processor, which would be the so-called Snapdragon X65 5G. This modem would support 5G SA and NSA networks, as well as compatibility with mmWave downlink up to 1 GHz and Sub-6 D.
Everything indicates that this new Qualcomm processor to be announced before the end of this year. Typically, the firm holds an event in early December where it usually announces its high-end processor for the following year.
