One of those applications that cannot be missing on a device to watch content (in my case, on my tablet and on my television) is Kodi. Because it is a multimedia center, but also much more and the fault lies with the add-ons or complements that we can install. I’ve recommended my must-have list before but there are always pleasant surprises like EZ Maintenance+, a wonderful maintenance addon for Kodi.
Because even though Kodi generally works well, with time and use it’s easy to end up slowing down (although there are some best practices in the form of tips to speed it up) but there are some an add-on that can do virtually anything to make Kodi work properlyWell, better.
What is EZ Maintenance+ and what can you do
In short, EZ Maintenance+ is a maintenance add-on to perform cleaning and tuning tasks, so it’s ideal if the application is slow or starts giving you performance issues.
The objective of EZ Maintenance+ consists of optimizing the operation of Kodi and keeps its promises. But beyond explaining its main mission, it is time to examine how it achieves it.
To start, EZ Maintenance+ fixes one of Kodi’s big problems: clear cachesince this cannot be done natively. It also removes installation packages, freeing up space while eliminating accumulated temporary files.
Another key point of its functions is the possibility of reset Kodi to its defaults (this can also be done in the application, but instead of going through the screens it brings them together into one), something that can save us if we have changed something but we don’t know what it is .
If Kodi’s databases are corrupted or faulty, it repairs and optimizes them, which has a direct impact on its operation. Finally, also allows you to update plugins (and schedule it) and other maintenance. It’s worth giving it a good review and spending a few minutes setting everything up to make the most of its potential.
How to install EZ Maintenance+
There’s not much mystery to installing EZ Maintenance+ on Kodi, but there are a few steps to keep in mind. The first thing will be to press the gear icon and follow the route ‘File Explorer‘ > ‘Add a source‘.
Here we will have to write (or copy and paste, to avoid errors) this web address https://peno64.github.io/repository.peno64 and confirm. Next, tap “Search” and give it a name that you can easily identify.
We return to the main settings screen and tap on the second icon, that of the complements or “Add-ons”. There we give ‘Install from a .zip file‘ and find the name you gave it in the previous section. Then we’ll play on ‘Install from a .zip repository and we will confirm the download and installation. We’ll go back and select ‘Install from repository’.
All that remains is to select from the available options. ‘peno64 repository’ and later in ‘Program add-ons. Let’s finally address ‘EZ Maintenance’ and install it last time.
We click on ‘Install’ and once finished we can configure it as we wish. So, for example, it can be activated automatically when you start Kodi or schedule automatic cache clearing or create copies of your Kodi settings.
