One of the most anticipated mobiles of this 2023 is the Pixel 7aand it is that all the leaks and rumors point to the fact that Google’s next mid-range does not have much to envy to its top range, considerably shortening the differences between its characteristics.
Google’s top-of-the-line Pixel ‘a’ was first seen last November, leaking some first images of its design which has now been confirmed by the leaked video showing a working unit of the Pixel 7a.
Pixel 7a leaks in a video
Slackleaks was the first media outlet to report a video in which a Pixel 7aAlthough the video is of very poor quality and very short in length, it gives very important details, such as its design and characteristics of your screen.
In the 49-second video, you can see the Pixel 7a design is the same as leaked renders two months ago, where we see the Pixel 7a has a very similar design to the Pixel 7 but with small differences . In the rear camera module we see that there is no hole for the microphone that if you have the Pixel 7 between the sensors and the flash, that would mean the Pixel 7a wouldn’t have that microphone. Also The Pixel 7a’s LED flash isn’t as far down the right sidewith which it will be more difficult to cover it with a finger.
The video device is configured in Vietnamese, with Vietnam being the country where Google has been manufacturing the Pixel A-series for years. Pixel 4a, 5a and 6a are “Made in Vietnam”so it’s not uncommon for the first country to leak the Pixel 7a to be Vietnam.
For a few seconds in the video, you can see how the user accesses the Pixel 7a screen settingsvery quickly appearing the “Fluid screen” mode which automatically updates the frequency from 60 Hz to 90 Hz. Therefore, it is confirmed that the Pixel 7a will have, like its big brother the Pixel 7, a screen at 90 Hz.
The video shows the device running Android 13 and is identified as “Pixel 7a” and “DVT1.0”. According to the information on the device, it would be an engineering validation test unit (EVT).
The Pixel 7a should be presented in May, during the Google I/O 2023, with which there are still more than four months for its announcement. Over the next few weeks will surely follow the net of leaks that will reveal all the details before its official presentation.
