If you are looking for a mouse, the most important thing is to know what you are going to use it for. If you want to game, for example, the requirements you must have to find the best gaming mouse are very different from those of a desktop mouse, for example.

And if we’re talking about gaming mice, we have to talk about Razer; unsurprisingly, it was the first brand to launch one. Over time and its popularization, its range has diversified and it may no longer be such a “special” brand as before; perhaps to regain that fame, now Razer has launched one of the most amazing products we’ve seen, and that’s saying something.
The most special gaming mouse
The Razer Viper Mini Signature Edition, as its name suggests, was born as a Viper Mini, which can be found for less than 40 dollars on sites like Amazon. Instead, this model has a starting price of no less than $250 (to be confirmed in Europe). How is it possible to justify such a difference?
For starters, this is the lightest mouse in Razer’s history, weighing just 49 grams; that’s somewhat striking considering it’s wireless, so it has an internal battery. The key to achieving such a figure lies in the materials used and the design; the Viper Mini Signature Edition is made from magnesium alloy, which gives it an excellent strength-to-weight ratio.
Razer also considered using carbon fiber and even titanium, but ultimately chose magnesium for its properties that allowed it to use a new injection technique; It was thanks to this that they were able to create a very original design in which most of the mouse is simply “air” with a skeleton in triangular shapes. This way you don’t need to use as much material and the weight is reduced. While it’s not the first mouse to do something similar, it’s the first time we’ve seen a design like this instead of a grid or honeycomb. The company claims that durability and comfort have not been compromised.
Of course, this model has all the innovations that Razer launched in its time, such as the 30K optical sensor, the third generation optical switches and the 4000 Hz HyperPolling connector that avoids the “lag” that forms when we use other wireless connections such as Bluetooth.
