It’s the essential free app on my Android. This helps me to always have my apps handy and organized

Android, app, apps, essential, free, Handy, helps, organized

A big part of my job is testing apps of all kinds, but some stay on my phone and some don’t. The problem is that I end up having too many and either I’ve organized them or it’s easy for me to end up forgetting they’re there. Luckily I tried an application that allows me to have expandable folders and it has already become essential.

I already know that it is possible to create folders and widgets, but sometimes they just don’t fit my needs, i.e. not all folders are the same and not all apps I ‘put there don’t have the same importance as long as I do it. do not use them in the same way. And that’s precisely what I liked the most Folder Widget, which even in its free version helps me manage and organize applications to keep them in the foreground on the main screen.

How the Folders Widget works and what you can do

Although it is true that more and more brands like Xiaomi, OPPO, Vivo or Honor add the expandable folders function, but with Folder Widget you can have it for free on any Android device simply by downloading it for free from the Google Play Store. I have already told you that in this version without paying the folder options in terms of extension are smaller, the name of the application will still appear and if you try to perform a paid function a message appears prompting you to check, but it is perfectly bearable and the free version already does its job.

Once you download the app you will find that it has a long list of available options (many in the free version), videos and documentation to learn how to use it and a button in bottom to start creating your widget: ‘Add a widget‘. In fact, without tutorials you can create the folders without much trouble, provided you know English and are willing to experiment.

At the next stage, the different sizes of the folder appear and here the pleasant surprises are confirmed: from the classic 3×3, 2×2 or 4×4 square matrix to the others one of the most interesting things playing with different sizes as explained previously: I like having all the Google apps together, but I don’t use Chrome the same way as Lens, for example. And now all that remains is to add it by pressing “Next”.

The result is clear: the Apps organized and on the first screen to have them at a glance without having to search. When you find the one you’re interested in, you touch it, it opens and that’s it. Of course, I can tell you that if the apps are too small, it’s still difficult to open them. The icing on the cake is that you can configure notifications so you don’t miss anything

By long pressing, the option to delete the folder or go to settings is displayed, where you can change the size, change the color and size of the text, if we want the name of the application to appear, change the borders , margins and background colors… That said, even the free version has boring options And while what appears by default is fine, if you like customization, it’s a plus.
