Google has put a lot of time and effort into improving the Google Weather app, accessible from the browser. Now this new design will be applied to a downloadable independent app from the Google Play Store in Europe.
Google Weather It is the name chosen for an application that will be updated periodically from the digital store as is the case with the rest of its catalog. In fact, its design is already known, since it has leaked in previous weeks, inspired by Material You, the design language seen in many apps for years now.
It’s a big update which will transfer the Google search engine experience, and which —while it gave very good results to know if it will rain or shine in the next few days— when brought to the home screen like another app, its location is always updated each time you open it. This small bump in the experience will be avoided with the new application that will be launched in order to be able to perform quick searches in any location.
Google’s new weather app
Already in Wear OS, there’s a dedicated weather app regardless of weather status, so Google has the ability to release it quite easily. Both apps will share the same icontherefore the experience is based on the possibility of launching updates and that this is one with a more concrete and minimalist design.
Google hasn’t announced anything yet, but since the explosion of Google Clock version 7.5 APK, a new package name has been found: com.google.android.apps.weather. Confirm the existence of this application, so it should arrive before the launch of the Pixel Tablet and the Pixel Fold for the month of June.
The application is characterized by the display of the current, maximum and minimum temperature
According 9to5Googlein the exploded view of the APK of the application, you can find a number weather map resources; such as heavy rain, low visibility, fog, a cloudy day or just a big storm. The variety of images is also indicative of the imminent arrival of this application, which Google has already prepared internally for its next version.
