In the conversations of the Messages application on our iPhone or iPad, we can define links. A resource that allows us have certain objects easily at hand both in the Messages app itself and in Safari and it makes it much easier to organize the links we receive.
Links we can pin to any conversation
Both on iPhone and iPad and on Mac, remember that we can send and receive SMS from our Mac or iPad, we can define links in conversations. These can be both links that we have received, whether in a one-to-one conversation or in a group, as well as links that we have sent. Defining a link is very simple.
- We open the application Posts on our iPhone or iPad.
- We enter the conversation that interests us.
- We remain leaning on the link that we want to repair.
- we choose Pin up.
On Mac the process is practically the same, the only thing that changes is that instead of holding down we will do secondary click on the link So choose Pin up. In both cases, moreover, we can simply repeat these steps and choose detach to remove the marking.
And now, how do we access these links?
Now, how do we access the links we’ve pinned? We have two resources. The first comes from the Messages app itself. To do this, we simply enter the conversation in question. We touch the name of the person or persons at the top and direct our attention to the section fixedwhere all links will be collected
For Mac, instead of tapping the person’s name click on the “i” at the top right of the window. Note, in both cases, that from section fixed we can’t remove the “fixed” (pardon the redundancy) to the links. What we can do, yes, is remove the link from the conversation and therefore remove it from the section as well.
The other way to access pinned links from a Messages conversation is in the Safari application of our iPhone, iPad or Mac. The section shared with you which is displayed on the home screen of the browser will collect all the links received and also highlight the fixed ones with a small yellow pin.
Remember that we may disable Shared with you links for certain contacts. Let us also recall that the section shared with you can be hidden. To show it, you have to touch the button To modify at the bottom of an empty tab on iPhone or iPad and activate the section shared with you. On Mac we will do exactly the same thing, but pressing the button in the form of three adjustment lines at the bottom right of the window in an empty tab.
Thanks to the pinned links, it is very easy to have at your fingertips all the information that we receive or send through the Messages application. Whether it’s the tracking URL of a package, an article you want to read or the website of a museum you want to visit, it’s as easy as fixing the link.
