It doesn’t matter how careful we are with our devices. Getting dirty is inevitable and Not all ways to clean an iPhone, Mac or AirPods work. And, following the advice given by the manufacturer itself, you must be very careful with certain elements such as ammonia or sharp devices.
It is precisely to avoid the latter that we can end up with tools specialized in cleaning the most complicated corners, which is at least what I personally find most difficult to clean. And that’s important, because that’s where most of the dirt is hiding.
The best way to properly clean charging ports and screen
As I said at the beginning, cleaning the screen of an iPhone, iPad or Mac is relatively simple. As with cleaning the Mac keyboard, it all starts with not using abrasive liquids and favoring the use of soft, lint-free microfiber cloths. However, There are some gaps in the devices that make cleaning difficult and it personally brought me headaches.
In these appeared a pack available for around 17 dollars. Be careful, this is not obvious at first glance. Or at least not for me when I thought “it was just to clean my appliances”. However, it is something that, if taken care of, lasts a long time and is one of the most appreciated. It’s obviously not the only one, but the price is similar.

The important thing about this pack is that it includes brushes and other tools to reach everywhere. And this, as I said before, is essential for cleaning iPhone speakers or deep cleaning AirPods. Even for a good cleaning of the charging port, since it is a vital element because if it is dirty the device may not charge well, in addition cleaning it with sharp elements can damage it.
What I must warn is that the liquid could run out soon. It always depends on how often we clean the devices and how many we have. In my case there are a few, so it doesn’t last more than a month, but the good thing is that it can be replaced with another liquid without having to repurchase the entire pack.
In fact, there is a 140 milliliter one at Mercadona from their own white label (Bosque Verde) which I also use to clean my blankets. It doesn’t cost three and a half dollars and it works pretty well. Even though I repeat the same thing, in the end the brand, price or where you buy it doesn’t matter that much. What is important is that it is suitable for cleaning electronic devices and especially their screens.
