After the presentation of iOS 17 at WWDC 2023 The next event we have in sight is in September where we will finally see the long-awaited iPhone 15. These new devices would arrive with different developments, still according to rumours, such as the integration of USB-C or an improvement in WiFi focused on the Apple Vision Pro.
Apple will make changes to the wireless connectivity of its iPhone 15
And it is that one of the great products of the year is undoubtedly the Apple Vision Pro that we saw a few weeks ago after many years of rumors and development. Now Apple is on a mission to adapt the ecosystem to this device, and that’s why according to Ming-Chi Kuo’s latest predictions
The most notable change will be an upgraded version of the Ultra Wide Brand (UWD) chip, which will be renamed U2. This will differ from the U1 chip, which is currently present in the iPhone 14, in its architecture which will go from 16 mm to 7 nm. In this way, performance and energy consumption will be improved as it happens in the brand’s processors.
This type of chip that was added from the iPhone 11 has important functions in our day to day, providing greater precision when using Search, Handoff or AirDrop. But now with this update It will allow you to have a more reliable and efficient connection with the Vision Pro.
But it would not be the only change that would be seen in the iPhone 15. Apple would also bet on the integration of the WiFi 6E protocol, which, although it does not involve changes at the technical level, does not allows to gain in stability and connection capacity to reach the maximum of 9608 Mbits per second
But the WiFi 6E upgrade would literally last a generation. This is because Ming-Chi Kuo himself also claimed that Apple would prepare the integration with the WiFi 7 protocol to have greater connection stability and gain speed, although it is particularly indicated for virtual and augmented reality.
