DigiTimes sources (reflected by MacRumors) seem to have found an important fact: according to them Apple’s Viewer Production Testing Phase Completed. From there, the main remaining step is to mass-produce these “Apple Glasses” for release to the public in the near future.

The pre-production phase that would have been reached is EVT 2 (or the so-called second technical validation test phase). With him, the supplier verifies with Apple that the prototype produces meets all requirements and specificationsleaving behind adjustments and design issues or doubts.
This awakens somewhat more optimistic forecasts than those that had been spreading lately about this device: it was expected that we would not see them before the end of 2022 at the earliest, and having completed this phase opens the door to the release of ‘Apple Glass’ in the fall
Another clue that gives hope is the trace found of a “realityOS” in some App Store records, which implies that Apple is already preparing to open a section of applications and games for these glasses in his store. There may still be changes depending on the pandemic and the logistical crisis, but it looks like Apple Glass has a definite path ahead of it.
