In his speech to thank the man in charge of Apple’s most iconic designs, he had words for many collaborators in his career and of course for his friend and colleague, Steve Jobs. Specifically. I referenced an email Jobs once sent him that is now in the Steve Jobs Archive’s “Make Something Wonderful” book. This is the email that includes the line: “I love and admire my kind, living and dead, and I totally depend on them for my life and well-being.”
Every time I read this email, your truth and humility slows down time, silences some of the noise, and puts my trivial concerns in their place.
Instead of staring at my feet, it helps me lift my head reminding me of my true motivation and leaves me with nothing but gratitude.
