There release candidate iOS 16.4 has already served as a warning to us: although rumors were still very widespread, there is reason to believe that we will soon have new AirPods. Now it’s Ming-Chi Kuo who highlights these rumors and confirms what many of us suspected.
The analyst has based on the data already known and predicts that what we will see will be new AirPods Pro 2 with a USB-C port in its case. Apple launched these headphones in September last year, but with a charging case with a Lightning port.
Everything looks in tune with the times: AirPods 4 soon?
I think this is likely the USB-C version of the AirPods Pro 2, with mass shipments expected in 2Q23-3Q23. By the way, Apple currently doesn’t seem to have any plans for USB-C versions of the AirPods 2 and 3.
I think it should be AirPods Pro… https://t.co/aWKJvGh1lW

Movement may clarify something interesting for us: Apple You might not be scheduled for an AirPods Pro update for a long time
The move would be similar to what Apple did with the AirPods 2: releasing them alongside a separately sold charging case for those who wanted wireless charging. Now those who already have AirPods Pro 2 would have the option of having a new case with USB-C.
Another curious point that Kuo mentions is that this move would not happen with AirPods 3, so here Apple would have decided to launch some alleged AirPods 4 before USB-C becomes mandatory in the European Union next year . There are no pricing details, although it is assumed that the price of these new AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C should not change.
When might we see these AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C? GOOD this spring or summer its mass production is imminent, so the wait should be a few months. This may be another novelty of WWDC, the final dates of which we should soon know.
