Kuo thinks we’ll have it in less than a year

Kuo, Thinks, Year

There have been late rumors between Apple Glass and this. Ming-Chi Kuo posted one of his tweets in which he declares that we’ll see a new HomePod later this year or early next. The pattern wouldn’t be much different from what we’ve seen with the original HomePod and HomePod mini.

An intermediate step between the HomePod mini and the original model

According to Kuo, Apple is still considering how to focus its business strategy on home automation accessories. The HomePod becomes “one of the essentials” in this sector, although at the design level we do not encounter a revolution, even less. In fact, it is not specified whether what we are going to see is a new HomePod mini or a new generation of something like the original HomePod.

Let’s remember that Apple stopped selling this original HomePod to focus on the technology of the HomePod mini, although we have been waiting for a long time. Mark Gurman, for his part, believes that what we are about to see is something between between the HomePod mini and the original model of the smart speaker.

It's been a year since we discovered temperature and humidity sensors in HomePods and Apple hasn't taken advantage of them yet

Fall can be an interesting release window for this new speaker, because it can become a good gift for the Christmas period. Global logistics and component availability must still allow for this, and for that reason, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a launch more geared toward next year. As always, we have to wait for more details to appear in the leaks.
