Facebook wants to look like TikTok as soon as possible
The growth that TikTok has seen in recent years is really extraordinary. It has become one of the applications that you should try on your phone, it is currently one of the most used social networks in the world. He has obtained very important achievements in the sector and above all, succeeded in capturing the attention of young people and attracting the not so young.

According to The Verge report, Facebook has a new plan in which the app will start offering more video content with stories, reels and recommendations. It comes after the site had access to a memo from Tom Allison, the Meta executive in charge of Facebook, detailing what will happen to Facebook.
“Instead of prioritizing posts from accounts people follow, Facebook’s main feed, like TikTok, will begin to highly recommend posts regardless of their origin. And years after Messenger and Facebook parted ways in As individual apps, the two will come together, mimicking TikTok’s messaging functionality.”
Facebook needs to update current user
Previously it was said that Meta would work on making Instagram more similar to TikTok, but now Facebook is the app that’s stepping into this game in an effort to show that it’s able to compete and thus keep investors who support Zuckerberg’s Metaverse.
The reality is that Facebook is in a critical situation. At the beginning of the year, it was announced that it had lost users for the first time in its history, which seems could continue in case of not being able to get out of the stagnation in which it finds itself.

“During our two recent conversations, Alison acknowledges that the company was slow to see the competitive threat from TikTok, even though it initially grew by covering Facebook and Instagram with ads. But now Meta sees the video app is increasingly encroaching on her national social media territory, with Alison noting the growing importance of private messaging on TikTok and the introduction of a dedicated tab for watching friends’ videos.”
Facebook continues to see its best years, on several occasions it has implemented tools and functions that they become a failure. And now, given what TikTok is achieving, it has no choice but to bank on a plan that can make it taste like what users are looking for today.
