LG has just presented its new TWS headset: the LG Tone Free DPF8W, not too different in performance from the Tone Free HBS-FN7, although with a slightly different design and some improvements.
The LG Tone Free DPF8W retains the already characteristic charging case with germ cleaning with UV light, in these TWS earphones with IPX4 certification, active noise cancellation and extendable battery life up to 24 hours.

A day of music and a box of disinfectant
The new LG Tone Free DFP8W headphones retain what has become a typical feature of the series: the charging box that doubles as a disinfectant box. To do this, the box uses ultraviolet light which, according to LG, kills the 99.99% bacteria after a period of 10 minutes. UV lamps are only activated when the box is closed and connected to the mains.
Beyond cleaning, we have in the LG Tone Free DFP8W TWS headset everything we expected in 2021: including the active noise cancellation using three microphones. According to LG, improved headphone cancellation technology detects noise more accurately than previous generations, with the ability to activate an ambient sound mode or talk to other people.
The sound itself is re-signed by the Meridian brand, with 8mm pilots, support for Bluetooth 5.2 and apt-X, AAC and SBC standards and codecs. The design of the headphones themselves has been changed from the previous LG Tone Free, with ergonomics in mind and hypoallergenic ear pads, available in various sizes.
Each earbud has a 68mAh battery, while the charging case adds 390mAh more. With a single charge, you can listen to music for 6 hours with noise cancellation or 10 without. When pressed on the charging box, the number changes to 2 p.m. with cancellation or up to 24 hours without activating noise cancellation.

LG Tone Free DFP8W versions and prices
LG has announced that the LG Tone Free DFP8W will have an official price of 179 dollars, at least in Germany. They are available in three colors: white, gold and black, and at this time no further information is known on their availability and price in other regions.
