If you thought ‘Real Madrid: Hasta el Final’ was going to be the only football bet on Apple TV+, you were wrong. The company recently confirmed the production agreement a documentary series centered on the career of Lionel Messiconsidered the best footballer of all time.
This documentary will consist of four chapters and will be produced by SMUGGLER Entertainment in Paris, Qatar and Argentina. We will see Messi triumph at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar in 2022 and justify being the Ballon d’Or in front of billions of fans.
The legacy of the world’s most famous Ballon d’Or
Apparently, those responsible for this documentary had access to Messi during the main matches of the last FIFA World Cup, and therefore there will be unreleased material on how the footballer experienced the matches which led him to the final victory which put a high point in his career.
Those responsible include Tim Pastore, Patrick Milling Smith, Brian Carmody and Matt Renner. A model whose work we have already seen in other works such as ‘Free Solo’ and ‘Jane’, awarded with Emmy and Tommy awards. It’s funny, but with that Apple TV+ has just had material that includes the two most famous football teams in USA and the world.
The series does not yet have a name., it is therefore in a production phase which will require us to be patient to be able to see it. A release date has also not been specified, so I would not expect it in the short or medium term. Maybe in 2024, just in time to see it on Vision Pro.
