More premium without going over the price
The two new Realme models stand out for the same thing: they have characteristics more typical of mobile phones of the “premium” range, but maintaining the same low price as their predecessors. It is also the first time that this mid-range from Realme has obtained such technical characteristics.
The star is the Realme 10 Pro+, to be the first model to have a curved screen, something we usually see in the main mobiles, but not so much in this price range. Of course, this also implies that the panel uses AMOLED technology, which we’d highly expect given the numbers it boasts.
On the other hand, the Realme 10 Pro will be based on a similarly sized, but completely flat screen. Also, it’s a conventional LCD panel, although Realme claims it will hit the same 120Hz refresh rate.
The other differentiating aspect between the two mobiles will be inside. The Realme 10 Pro+ is the most advanced, with the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 which was only introduced 2 months ago and brings more features along with improved power and efficiency; Instead, the Realme 10 Pro will use the famous Snapdragon 695 which has been demonstrating its power for some time.
For the rest, we are dealing with very similar devices, both in terms of design and functionality. Both use the same set of cameras, dominated by a Samsung 108MP sensor which allows the use of “pixel binning” technology to combine multiple pixels into one and improve scene lighting. Curiously, we don’t have a wide angle, only a 2 MP depth sensor, while the front selfie camera is 16 MP.
The 5,000mAh battery is also the same in both models, but the more expensive gets 67W fast charging compared to 33W in the cheaper.
The Realme 10 Pro will have a starting price of 1,599 yuan (about 216 dollars), while the Realme 10 Pro+ will start at 1,699 yuan (229 dollars), with prices and a launch date to be confirmed in Europe.
