WhatsApp is green. This has always been the case, although there are tricks to change the color of WhatsApp and some unofficial apps that promise other colors. But officially, the app has always been green and white.
The only exception was dark mode, which obviously uses gray and black colors so as not to disturb the eyes too much, especially at night. However, this makes WhatsApp light mode and dark mode are very differentand they don’t have much in common.
The next WhatsApp redesign will fix this problem, with a new lighting mode with new colors that they will give more importance to white than to green; This means that classic green will be reduced to just a few elements, like the WhatsApp logo.
This is the new WhatsApp
The new WhatsApp design is already appearing in the apps of some WhatsApp beta users, as they revealed in Android Font. The released screenshots reveal that the top green bar is now whiteand this brings about a bigger change than it seems.
And, because of this change, the top part and the chat area are barely different from each other. At the top we still have the WhatsApp logo, now in green, and the search button, as well as the button to access settings and other options. A simple gray line separates this area from cats and the rest of the sections of the application.
In the rest of the application, the green color has been largely removed. In many sections it has completely disappeared, such as in user profiles; but in other parts it is still preserved, such as in the microphone button to send audios or in the aforementioned WhatsApp logo.
To this it must be added that the WhatsApp application was recently updated with changes in the interface, including a new bottom bar that brings together all the important sections of the application. The News section is now at the bottom and allows us to access WhatsApp statuses and channels, for example. This new bottom bar has already arrived in the stable version of WhatsApp, and little by little all users should start seeing it now.
On the other hand, the redesign with the new colors should still take some time to arrive, since it is only available in the latest beta version of WhatsApp, and only for certain users; Therefore, it is very possible that Meta is still experimenting with this change and that the design that was leaked is not the final version.
