The S2 Ultra has a magnificent, very reasonable design

Not that the design, form or aesthetics is a mistake in itself, but if you're going to ask about 1400 euros per term, it should be good at any point of view. And it is right in this phase where, in my opinion, the biggest failure of the Samsung Galaxy S2 Ultra: its weight
Samsung loved us all last year for the S10, in a good way. I was able to use the Global S20 and S20 Plus and I can say that they sit in that line, but not the S20 Ultra. Its over 220 grams make keeping it in your hand for a long time uncomfortable.
The weight of the S2 Ultra is high, very high

Different performance that uses more battery

What we've seen, and what can be seen from the automation test we've done, is that the Exynos 990, or screen, They waste a lot of battery when we use the most wanted games like Honkai Impact Third. So much so that we even had better screen independence at 120 Hz than at 60 Hz.

This screen is undoubtedly the best for mobile
For years Samsung's high-end phones were displayed among other things using screens with extremely aggressive curvatures. In fact, this has led to the creation of the subfamily, the Edge, which centers with no screens.
Many people call attention, like a professional show. Some have found it useful when using gestures and typing on the keyboard by sliding your finger around the screen. At 120 Hz, a sensitivity of 240 Hz should be felt, making the screen one of the fastest when responding to our orders and displaying content.
It should also be noted that the adjustment for this screen is QHD +, that is, that Samsung is not compatible with FHD panels and maintains this feature, or is automatically disabled, similar to 120 Hz. That is, If a person buys the S20 and does not touch the settings, they will not use the screen at higher prices.
And why would Samsung do such a thing?
The reason is simple: independence. These two aspects of the screen require an increase in power so that we can detect the presence of a battery drain with a screen at 120 Hz. The increase also occurs at high resolution. In fact, the cost is too high Samsung has decided not to allow screen use at 120 Hz and QHD resolution at the same time. We believe this should be allowed, or not advised. That said, Samsung should significantly improve battery performance on this mobile, as we will discuss later.
To return to the screen, we have to highlight the size of this. Its 6.9 inches make the S20 Ultra a special finish, which is not pleasing to many. In settings we have options that allow us to change the color temperature, display mode between the softest and the brightest or to turn on black mode.
The feeling of using the screen is excellent, even in areas where the light is high enough that there are no problems of using the sun or the display.
The cameras are awesome, but don't be too fun
Last year we got a real fever by phone calls. Huawei has already warmed up the engines in 2018 with the Huawei P20 Pro but last year the same company as others like OPPO suggested that the opical zoom would be great.
Samsung is left in that category and with the Samsung Galaxy S20 they want to solve it. However, at least with the S20 Ultra. This model features four lenses in its rear position.
He the primary sensor It has an amazing resolution of 108 Mpx which allows us to get a larger image or use pixel binning by converting 9 pixels to 1 to get 12 images of Mpx. This sensor allows us to record video in 8K (we'll talk about it later) and also take photos to save the area we want to use when using high resolution.
The image quality we get is good, the dynamic range, HDR behavior, all meet Samsung's expectations. There are some criticisms, such as that the slimming of images in graphic mode does not leave the edges complete, and that ToF sensor, this one is already a mosque.
The second sensor, 48 Mpx, is a 4x telephoto, though in marketing most of the emphasis is placed on the 10-fold increase. That zooms in to the hybrid. That is, it uses partly the digital zoom and partly through the eyes. And it offers no side effects, at all.
Zoom problem comes when we want to use a one-to-four zoom mode, at which point it looks like a cellphone is cutting a large image sensor. We note that the quality present in the 1x and 4x images is not in the mirrors we take when using the extension between these two values.
The same thing happens when we use 30x and 100x zoom methods (called Space Zoom). The quality of these methods is so low that it leaves the images unusable unless, from time to time, they can read the poster too far. but nothing else. In addition, the excitation is so high that we cannot use this mode without a tripod or without device support.
The last of the senses is wide range that is a good behavior, especially in color reliability compared to the other two sensors. On many cell phones we see how different angle estimates vary a lot from other cameras, and they don't happen here. In addition, the edges do not lose much quality and the modifications were successfully repaired. After all, 12 Mpx? Come on Samsung, without choosing a higher resolution sensor. For this kind of photography, at least I want to zoom in on a mobile screen.
And there is an appeal that applies to all cameras. The pictures come out very contrasting with the colors included. This creates a lost detail in the shadows and that true reliability is minimal.
At night the quality of the photos went down significantly more than we thought it would. It is true that a new night mode such as the one used by iPhone, Pixel or Huawei is available, but we expected the results to be better.
The zoom effect is still good, but we need light points, when the light goes down and the sound goes up. But in those light points where the details are lost, as you can see in the headlights of the image above.
But let's talk about the camera connection. Probably the most eye-catching activity in the camera app One shot, which allows us to capture between 2 and 14 images, videos and photos, for a limited time. This work seems perfect when it comes to photography and recording of pets and young children, who do not know when to help and do not want to miss that moment.
But it's also possible to use it normally, to find music videos, blurry photos and filters and even some nice GIFs.
But not only in the photography category are using this mobile, but also Videographic The Glass S20 is the first place to record 8K video quality. Of course, it is only 24 fps and without any hardening. In the gallery you have some samples, but our opinion is that it's worth recording at 4K at 60 fps. We can also say slow recording at 960 fps, but at 720p. It's funny that the camera boasting a camera can't record in FHD.
As for the software options for this feature it should stand out Focus Live Video, which already existed in previous models but are not supported here. It allows us to record videos with a blur, and although the performance is not perfect, we liked it more than we expected. In addition, it is in standard video recording mode that allows you to switch between the front and rear cameras without cutting the target.
At night the video loses a lot, with plenty of grain even if we slow down the correction.
But there is a very important catch and it is possible that this killer looks fails many times when focusing on an item, especially when we record a video and switch between the background and the previous item. Usually the institutions that take so much time to do so, are less likely to act. Not here, here we see it clearly.
And we can't close this section without talking about front camera, which is probably the most compact cell phone. Record a video with awesome, low-cost, and accurate selfies. Night selfies can be flexible too, with lots of grain and small details. Of course, in video recording the sustainability is in excellent shape.
Battery is great, but autonomy is not
Over the past year Samsung has already participated in the fast charging of its smartphones, at least in the high range. At S20 you saved it but we have a complaint. The mobile has charging speed up to 45 W, but charging box is 25 W.
This is a general decision that when Apple takes it, we put our hands on its head, and that here the same should be answered. A few will be users who decide to set aside a charger that allows the use of fast charging to outweigh its benefits in this model.
The wireless charging It goes on, but fast 15W charging without cables seems rare when it is one of the most expensive Android phones in the market (rolled by split).
In the first autonomous test we used it for FHD adjustment and with a refresh rate of 60 Hz. That is, in theory this configuration provides better performance depending on the battery. Yet our tests have given us away just three and a half hours of screen time around 22 hours of self-service. It is true that we have played a lot, but we expected the best behavior.
In the second test we were listening to podcasts with Bluetooth headsets, we made enough pictures and even several videos to test the camera and we were playing Honkai Impact Third. We also had a poor performance almost Three and a half hours on a 20-day full screen release.
In the third billing cycle we want to see how mobile performance is moving at a set refresh rate 120 Hz. We've only used it indoors, with Wifi cover, and reading on Twitter, using Instagram to play. Surprisingly, we got better, more positive results 4 hours and a screen quarter with 25 hours of self-management. This may have happened because we played a bit of the third Honkai Impact.
We did the fourth billing cycle when we went back to 60 Hz and played a little something, even though we recorded videos, created photos, etc. But we've been outside for a lot longer than the Wi-Fi cover. We've reached the 4 hours of screen time with 18 hours of independence.
The last battery test we did was used by most outdoors, but without much playing. During this time we have reached the 3 hours on screen for 30 hours total freedom.
The UI 2.1 one is worth the interface, but it starts to overflow
Samsung has been rolling out One UI a lot since its launch in late 2018. On the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, the best we've seen in previous models, such as night mode or the possibility of allowing automatic subtitles for any audio source, is saved. Yes, currently in English.

A good, expensive phone
I have been reviewing this phone for over a week and reach two conclusions. The first is that Not a cellphone of my choice.
