We tested MOFT iPhone and MacBook accessories, stands that in addition to offering us assistance in using our devices more comfortably, they have other features as card holders, covers or simply “invisible”.
special accessories
MOFT offers us accessories that are different from the classic supports. Yes, they offer us the possibility of placing our iPhone on the table to see the screen more comfortably, or they raise the height of our MacBook in addition to placing the keyboard in a more comfortable position for typing. But in addition to these functions that any other conventional support can offer us, they have something special that makes them unique.
All of their products are made of high quality synthetic leather. The touch is very soft, and it is difficult to differentiate it from real leather. They are products tested to resist and it shows from the first moment you touch them with your hands. They are very resistant, much more than if it were real skin, and they don’t have that cheap plastic look that leatherette tends to have. The decision not to use real leather is not to save money, but rather to make a more eco-friendly and hard-wearing product that can withstand daily use without any problems.
In its designand combine the magnets with the “origami” type folds to provide a stable base that allows you to hold your device without rocking it or other uncomfortable movements when using it. In this review, we tested three different accessories: a magnetic holder for the iPhone that doubles as a card holder; an invisible height-adjustable stand for the MacBook; a MacBook sleeve that turns into a height-adjustable stand.
Card holder and iPhone holder
Compatible with the iPhone 12 and 13 MagSafe system, this vegan leather card holder attaches magnetically to your iPhone And it does this by taking advantage of the two magnets of the MagSafe system, the circular one for better grip and the lower one to prevent it from rotating easily. The magnetic handle is what you’d expect from the MagSafe system, it just doesn’t fall out when in use, but is easy to remove. The grip works best with a MagSafe case, as the iPhone’s glass back is very slippery. That said, if you’ve used any MagSafe accessory, the behavior of this card holder is the same.
It is available in several colors, in these images the one you can see is the color Oxford Blue. A note for those iPhone 13 Pro users: Due to the size of the iPhone and the camera module, the Windy Blue/Classic Nude/Sunset Orange/Hello Yellow cardholders work best because the other card holders are a little bigger and the camera module does not make them fit very well. If you have an iPhone 13 Pro Max, since it’s bigger, there’s no problem.
The card holder has space for three credit cards or ID cards, which are completely hidden when the card holder is not folded. Their insertion and extraction are very easy, and when they are inside the card holder, there is hardly any noticeable increase in thickness. Like I said before, it doesn’t fall out when you put it in and out of your pocket, but personally I use it more safely in combination with a MagSafe cover, the grip is better.
For the support function, we have to fold the card holder which will stay in this shape thanks to the clever use of magnets, exposing the cards that we have added. We can place our iPhone vertically, or rotate the stand and place it horizontally to enjoy multimedia content or use it in video conferences. Its support is very stable and there is no risk that the iPhone falls easily.
Invisible stand for MacBook
One of my least favorite things about using the laptop on the go is the fully horizontal keyboard layout. Used to using keyboards with some degree of tilt, I can’t find how to type completely flat for hours on end. This MOFT stand is here to change things up as it goes completely unnoticed in the base of your laptop, this base allows you to tilt your laptop in two fixed positions, 15 or 25 degrees
The idea is very clever: a sheet of vegan leather that adheres to the base of your laptop, with a thickness so minimal that you will not even notice that you are wearing it. The adhesive used allows it to be used as many times as needed, without leaving any residue on your laptop when you remove it. Its use is very simple, and you unfold it in just a few seconds, also allowing you to choose between the two angles of inclination. As a support it is very stable, you will be able to support your hands and write without noticing any type of vibration or rocking on the base, thanks to the fact that fiberglass is used in its structure.
When you don’t need it, you’ll completely forget you’re carrying it, and you can continue to use the same carrying case you have because it adds virtually no bulk to your laptop. It’s compatible with laptops up to 15.6″, although I tested it on my 16″ MacBook Pro and it works perfectly. The images you see and in the video I used the MacBook Air, with which it is absolutely flawless. If he convinced my wife, who was very skeptical at first, I can assure you that he will convince you all. It is available in many colors, discreet like black or gray, striking like orange or pink, and many others.
MacBook Case and Stand
I’ll leave my favorite accessory of the three for last: a sleeve for my 16″ MacBook Pro that doubles as a height-adjustable stand. This product solves many problems in one fell swoop. On the one hand, it is a very nice case with a very pleasant touch to be able to transport my laptop anywhere apart from my backpack. It also allows me to raise the screen of the laptop so that the neck does not suffer when using it on a table for hours and it allows me to type much more comfortably. And if that were not enough, it has space to carry the charger and the cable, as well as an always practical card holder.
The cover is available in different colors and in two sizes. The 14″ one is for 13- and 14-inch MacBooks, while the 14″ one is, according to the official site’s specs, for 15″ models. I tested it with my MacBook Pro 16″ (2021) and it fits without problem, just but fits perfectly. It has an inside pocket to insert the laptop charger and cable, which fit perfectly thanks to the elastic part of the cover. A small card holder inside can hold a credit card or business ID.
As a support, it allows you two positions, with an inclination of 15 and 25º. I have to admit that aesthetically I like the way the “invisible” bracket above looks better, but this also performs the function well, very stable and easy to fold and unfold. If we add its cover function, then for me it is the perfect accessory for my laptop.
