The new Moto G55 has a sleek design with vegan leather and better cameras
Motorola has taken advantage of this opportunity to renew part of its mobile portfolio, since with the new Moto G55 also arrives the Moto G35 and two new members of its more premium family, the Moto Edge 50 and the Moto Edge 50 Neo.
The Moto G55 is the evolution of last year’s Moto G54, and while there aren’t any radical changes to the hardware, Motorola seems to have focused on improve some key aspects of this deviceincluding its processor, camera and battery.
The Moto G55 display is a panel of nearly 6.5 inches with a 120Hz refresh ratea feature that Motorola already usually includes even in cheaper phones, for the benefit of users who are looking for very fluid screens when playing and in general when using the phone. Under the hood, it packs a MediaTek Dimensity 7025 processor, accompanied by between 4 and 12 GB of RAM, depending on the model.
The storage capacity of the Moto G55 is 128 and 256 GB, and fortunately Motorola has decided to include a microSD card slot, which will allow users Expand storage with up to 1TB of additional capacity. In terms of entertainment, the Moto G55 features stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos for superior sound quality when playing games or watching series and movies.
Two of the biggest changes between the Moto G55 and the Moto G54 are the camera system and the battery. First of all, the Moto G55 keeps a 50MP main sensor on the rear camera, but upgrades the ultra-wide angle with an 8MP sensor, instead of the 2MP of the previous generation. As for the battery, the capacity is still 5,000mAh but now its charging is fastergoing from 15W in the previous model to 30W in the new Moto G55.
Moto G55 price and availability
The new Motorola Moto G55 will be available in Europe and the rest of Europe from September with a price of 249 dollars for the basic model. It comes in three versions: “Forest Grey”, “Twilight Purple” and “Smoky Green”, the latter two having a back covered in vegan leather.
