Xiaomi phones have many functions that improve the user experience, including more customization, such as the possibility of changing the multitasking screen interface if we wish, and multiple options for better battery control. This is the case both in MIUI and, above all, in HyperOS.
However, we cannot deny that Xiaomi devices can also include functions that, instead of being useful, they can get in the way, and even affect the performance of the device, especially if we are talking about mobile phones with more limited hardware. And sometimes, just by turning off some of these functions, we can notice a change in the way our phones work.
Deactivate this option in the settings of your Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO mobile
If you think your Xiaomi mobile is slow, there are several things you can do to improve its performance, including: getting rid of applications that you don’t use, limiting the consumption of resources in the background and even, in some cases, freeing Storage space also helps. But it can also be very useful to deactivate certain functions of our devices that we do not need.
This is the case with MSA; just by disabling this process the performance of our mobile can improve noticeably, and we can also get rid of some advertisements that occasionally appear on our Xiaomi device.
MSA stands for MIUI System Ads or MIUI System Ads. It doesn’t matter if it’s called MIUI, this feature is still present in HyperOS. Fortunately, turning it off is very simple. We just need to follow these steps:
- We go to the System Settings menu
- We access the section Fingerprints, facial data and screen lock
- Then we continue Authorization and revocation (or Authorization and Cancellation, in some territories)
- Finally, we deactivate the option MSA
The system will make us wait a few seconds before we can confirm that we want to deactivate this process, and that’s it. We can restart the mobile and, now, our Xiaomi device will no longer occupy resources in this function dedicated to announcementswhich should mean an improvement in its performance.
However, being on the screen where we deactivate the MSA process, we can also consider deactivating Get apps, a process related to downloading applications from Xiaomi’s own store. In case you do not use it and download everything from the Google Play Store, there is no need to activate this process. Plus, you can reactivate it whenever you need it.
