One of the advantages of the Android operating system is its versatility, since it offers many possibilities in terms of configuration and customization. In general, Android allows you to control and modify many aspects of its operation, and this can be of great help if we need our mobile phone to work faster.
If, like me, you own a Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO mobile and you feel that it starts slowly, there is a way to help your phone turn on fastertaking advantage of a configuration option available in the settings menu. You don’t have to install anything, you don’t even need to enable the developer options menu. We explain how, below.
You will be able to speed up the switching on of your Xiaomi mobile in a few steps
What we are going to do is take advantage of a type of settings available not only on Xiaomi mobile devices, but also on any Android terminal and even on computers. In this case, the process works on Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO phones with HyperOS and MIUI operating system.
When we turn on our mobile, a series of processes and applications start in the backgroundmany of which are necessary for its operation. Our mobile will also start and activate certain applications in the background with the intention of making them available for use as quickly as possible, such as social networks, music applications and WhatsApp, for example.
To speed up the startup of our smartphone, we are going to do prevent applications that we consider less necessary from being automatically activated
To disable automatic application launch, follow these steps:
- We go to the settings menu then access the ‘Applications‘
- We select ‘Permissions‘
- And then ‘Autostart in background’ (or ‘Autostart’, depending on OS version)
On this screen we will disable autostart Of all the applications that we consider are not really necessary from the first minute we turn on the mobile. For example, in my case, I disabled Facebook and other social networks, in addition to the Wallpaper Carousel.
As I mentioned a few lines ago, we will be able to continue using these applications in the same way as usual, the only difference is that the first time we access them after turning on the mobile, the loading will take a few additional seconds its data. On the other hand, turning on our smartphone is now faster, since you don’t need to start so many processes simultaneously.
