The new Emojis that will start arriving on our devices at the end of this year 2022 or the beginning of 2023 are now official After almost a year of development, unicode today approved Emoji 15.0 with the latest set of new characters that our mobiles will need to support.
After the approval, Google was quick to announce the new Emojis that will soon arrive on Androidalso presenting more important novelties, such as the new animated Emojis or the possibility of a power customize emoji colors.
21 new Emojis are coming to Android
The new version of the standard Unicode 15.0 officially brings us 21 new emojis, which, along with their skin tone combinations, add up to 31 new Emojis. The new Emojis coming soon to Android are:
- trembling face
- light blue heart
- gray heart
- pink heart
- Hand that pushes to the right
- Hand that pushes to the left
- moose face
- Donkey
- To the
- goose
- Astonished
- Ginger
- Hyacinth
- pea pod
- folding hand fan
- To block
- maracas
- Flute
- Babe
- Wireless
To these 21 emojis, we must add the five skin tones of each of the two new Pushing Hand Emojis to reach the 31 new emojis in total. Together with the new Pushing Hand Emojis, they allow us to create a* *handshake** by combining these two new characters. With the new characters, the Emojis go up a total of 3,664.

New Animated Emojis
Earlier this year, Google released a new text font that lets you use monochrome emojis
Google brings for the first time natively animated Emojis on Android so that all messaging and communication applications can use them. In the following link you can see the more than 220 animated Google emojis.
New color font support
One of the new features of Android 13 is font format support COLRv1which means that Emojis are now vector designs that will be set at any resolution, and in this new version apps will be able to customize the color of Emojis
