As we already know, Apple launched new bracelets and spheres to commemorate the Olympic Games. The theme revolves around the flag of each of the 22 countries included in this limited collection, including Europe. Yesterday we received our strap and we can already talk about it in person.
A limited edition bracelet for the 2020 Olympic Games
Last year, the pandemic prevented Tokyo Olympic Games celebration. After a first postponement, the organization has decided to postpone the competitions to this summer and we will finally be able to take advantage of it. For the occasion, Apple has prepared a whole collection of bracelets that are accompanied by a series of spheres with matching flags (which can also be created manually).
Focusing on the strap, this is a Sport Loop type. This means that it is single strap with two hooks for the watch case. The stripe follows the color pattern of the flag of Europe, being red on one side and yellow on the other, with both edges red.
This means that when you put it on, the bottom of the strap will be red, while the upper one will be yellow with red edges. The result is quite striking and, when matched with the corresponding dial, it looks perfect.
On the back, there is a small label with the abbreviation of the country to which the bracelet belongs.

Inside the box we find an application clip to get the sphere quickly. So we will save ourselves from having to tinker to create our own.
The truth is, the new strap would look better on an Apple Watch with an aluminum or steel case. Maybe even the Apple Watch Series 6 (RED) PRODUCT is better suited, although we haven’t been able to test it.
Those wishing to purchase one of these straps to cheer on their respective countries during the Tokyo Olympics should keep one thing in mind. This is a limited edition. And as such, Apple will withdraw it from sale in a few weeks, when the Olympics are over.
As this is an exclusive collection, it can only be purchased on the Apple web at the usual price of 49 dollars. Of course, we will find it in the usual sizes 40 and 44mm.
